This 5 day camp will help young, budding chefs master the foundations of cooking, tackling different kitchen skills each day and gaining the knowledge needed to become a proficient cook and express their creativity. The group will start the day with a brief theoretical lesson, followed by practical, hands-on experience, covering topics such as: knife skills, safe preparation of meats and proteins, doughs/bread as well as baking basics!
A mid-week field trip will take the young chefs on a behind the scenes tour of a local restaurant kitchen. Campers compete in a black box challenge on Friday; a fun, final showdown to flex their their creative culinary muscles.

Cost: $350 + gst
Provide young chefs with cooking techniques that will help them feel more confident in the kitchen.
Participants will learn important food and knife safety protocols that are critical to safe, independent cooking.
Each participant will have hand-ons practice with different cooking techniques such as cooking meat, making doughs, and baking.
