This 5 day camp will help young, budding chefs master the foundations of cooking, tackling different kitchen skills each day and gaining the knowledge needed to become a proficient cook and express their creativity. The group will start the day with a brief theoretical lesson, followed by practical, hands-on experience, covering topics such as: knife skills, safe preparation of meats and proteins, doughs/bread as well as baking basics!
A mid-week field trip will take the young chefs on a behind the scenes tour of a local restaurant kitchen. Campers compete in a black box challenge on Friday; a fun, final showdown to flex their their creative culinary muscles.
